Renee is a Sonoma County native, born in Santa Rosa and raised in Sebastopol. Creating and involvement in community has always been a natural element in her life. Children are her passion and joy, and can be considered her chosen path. Renee has worked with children many years as a counselor, preschool teacher, and now, as a family child care provider in Santa Rosa. She serves 14 families in her program. Along with 4Cs, she has worked with many community agencies, such as River Child Care Services and the County of Sonoma. Renee is a member of many professional associations, including SCCCA, NAEYC and NAFCC.

Bob is a retired organizational psychologist, management consultant and educator. From 1985-2003 Bob consulted internally for OCLI/JDS Uniphase, CA State Auto Assoc. & PG&E. Prior to this he spent six years as a consultant, fundraiser and projects administrator for public agencies. During this time he also produced two national conferences on fathering and wrote and published the book, Fathering: It's Not the Same (1983). From 1973-1981 Bob founded and directed private children’s centers, The Nurtury Family School, which received national recognition for innovation in promoting men in early childhood education and parenting. Bob received his Masters degree and was advanced to candidacy for a Doctorate in Psychology from University of California at Berkeley. He also served for three years in the Peace Corps in Togo, West Africa.

A resident of Sonoma County for most of her adult life, Katie has worked at Sonoma State University for more than 20 years as Director of the Academic Foundation, Director of Sponsored Programs, and currently as Associate Vice President for Academic Resources. She has B.A. degrees in English and Business Administration and an employment background in accounting. Having served on several community boards, she both admires and respects the tremendous contributions non-profit organizations make to our community. She says, "I was proud to join the 4Cs Board in 2005 and support the agency's worthy mission."

David Wattell grew up in the Santa Rosa (SR) area attending both SR city and high school. David served in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam war. Upon his return, he attended San Jose State University (SJSU) where he received a BS degree in Business Administration. He also holds a MBA from Golden Gate University. David started his banking career while a senior at SJSU. During his 35 years in banking he spent the majority of that time working for several different commercial banks located in the greater Santa Rosa area. During his tenure he held various positions which included chief lending officer responsibilities. In 1989 serving as president, he founded Codding Bank in Rohnert Park. David is married and lives in Santa Rosa with his lovely wife, Susan. Together they have two daughters. David enjoys listening and performing classical music; he is a member of the Sonoma County Bach Choir. His primary hobby is close-up photography.

Christina joined the 4Cs board in July, 2008. She grew up in Los Gatos, California and moved to Santa Rosa in 2002. Christina earned her BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from San Jose State University. She currently is a Manager at Zainer Rinehart Clarke in Santa Rosa specializing in tax and accounting and reporting . Christina enjoys spending time with her husband Scott and son, Kai who is four years old.

Goretti is the Human Resources Manager at Amy's Kitchen, Inc. She was born in Mexico and raised in Sonoma County. She is happy to give back to her community as a Board Member for 4Cs. She joined the 4Cs Board in March of 2010 and is excited to be a part of an agency that promotes quality services for parents and child care providers. As a working parent, Goretti has personally experienced the stressors that come with juggling the needs of a child and a professional career. Goretti is married and the proud parent of a very active 16 year old daughter. They love to explore Sonoma County, travel and enjoy cooking gourmet meals together using seasonal, local ingredients.

Ari is a pediatrician at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Rosa. His passion and concern about the care of children was a perfect match for the 4Cs Board of Directors. He became a 4Cs Board Member in March 2010 and is happy to be serving an agency that supports equal and fair access to quality preschool for all children. As a pediatrician, he understands the importance of developing trusting relationships with children and their parents - much like those developed in the early care and education profession! Ari's special interests are universal access to care for all children; personality and temperament differences based on birth order and gender; cultural sensitivity in health care. He also loves to use humor as much as possible because ''laughter is the best medicine.''

Gary served on the 4Cs Board of Directors from 2001-2010, acting as Treasurer, Vice President and President. Gary is Director of Human Resources at Amy's Kitchen in Santa Rosa. Principal of the HR Matrix of Santa Rosa, his consulting firm specializes in organization development and human resources. Before 2001, Gary was vice-president of OCLI/JDSU and managed human resources, organization development, site services, and community relations. He has also been a senior consultant at Hewlett-Packard. In addition to his commitment to his family, Gary is a faculty member at Sonoma State University in the Organization Development Master’s Degree program. He has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Minnesota.

Tracy is a resident of Petaluma and has been involved in the field of early childhood education for almost 30 years. Tracy is a Regional Coordinator for WestEd's Program for Infant Toddler Care (PITC) and is also adjunct faculty at Santa Rosa Junior College in the Child Development Department. Tracy holds a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education and a BA in Women's Studies. While Tracy has held many roles in the field of child development (child care center director, family child care provider, consultant, parent educator and instructor), her focus has remained primarily on the development and care of children birth to three. Having worked closely with 4Cs in her roles with PITC and SRJC, Tracy is happy to be able to support 4Cs even more effectively as a Board member.

Born and raised in Scotland, Jo has lived and worked in the North Bay for 20 years. She has personally experienced the power of positive early education for both her sons who were lucky to have licensed, dedicated child care providers to play with and learn from while mum and dad worked. Jo is a development professional in the nonprofit community having worked for KRCB Public Television and Radio since 2001 as Membership Manager and currently as the Major Gifts officer. She holds a BSc in Agricultural Economics from Glasgow University and a Masters in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Jo joined the Board of 4Cs in 2006. Her other volunteer and community service activities include: the Sebastopol Education Foundation, the Sonoma County Bach Society, the Analy High School Education foundation and CERES. Jo runs a web-based business www.choirgear.com focusing on the needs of singers, choirs and lovers of vocal music world-wide.

Tom joined the 4Cs Board of Directors in 2007. He has lived in this community for over 25 years. Since 1983, Tom has worked for the Santa Rosa Police Department. He has worked a variety of assignments during that time, including Field Training Officer, Special Weapons and Tactics team officer and supervisor, Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Team Supervisor and Violent Crimes Investigator. He is currently the Captain in charge of the Special Services Division. Tom and his wife Jackie have been married for twenty years and have two children. He has a Bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College in Business Management and a Master’s degree from Sonoma State University in Psychology – Organizational Development.

Wendy was a Kindergarten teacher in the Roseland Elementary School District prior to having her first child and deciding to stay home to raise her daughter in her earliest years. She is currently a board member for the California Kindergarten Association and on the planning committee for the Sonoma County Early Learner's Summit. She joined the 4Cs Board of Directors in March 2010 and believes that early care and education allows our children to live up to their full potential.

Marcos is a Broker/Realtor at Prominent Realtors in Santa Rosa and has a daughter in preschool. He is the President-Elect on the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Santa Rosa, serves on the Economic Development Board and also serves on the Board of Directors for Listening for Change. He has a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Sonoma State University. Marcos joined the 4Cs Board of Directors in March 2010. He is excited to help build connections between child care and business.
