
Melanie Dodson
Executive Director
Melanie Dodson became the Executive Director of 4Cs in 2008. She has been an advocate for and worked with Sonoma County children and families for over twenty years. Melanie joined 4Cs in 2001 as the Child Care Resource & Referral Director, moving into the Assistant Executive Director role in 2004. She previously worked as the Director of the after-school program at Kenwood Elementary School and as an elementary school teacher in the Roseland Elementary School District. Melanie holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Sonoma State University and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. She is a member of the Maternal Child and Adolescent Health Board, as well as the Chair for the SRJC Child Development Advisory Board and Chair of the First 5 Professional Community Advisory Committee. Early childhood development has always been a personal passion, and being the mother of two young children continues to inspire her commitment to the field and our community’s investment in our children.
Her favorite childhood book was the Boxcar Children.

Maya Labourdette
Finance Director
Knowing her work is making the community a better place for families and children is important to Maya. That’s why she joined 4Cs in 2001. As Finance Director, Maya is part of the executive leadership team and oversees the organization’s budgetary planning, accounting and auditing. She has more than 20 years of non-profit finance experience, and holds a B.A. from University of California, Davis and a Masters of Public Administration from Sonoma State University. She lives in Sebastopol with her husband and two teenage daughters, and loves spending time outdoors in beautiful Sonoma County.
One of her favorite children’s books is Ferdinand – the story of a bull who loved nothing more than to sit under his favorite tree and smell the flowers.

Emily Peterson
Human Resources Director
Emily Peterson joined the 4Cs leadership team as the Human Resources Director in April 2018. As a certified Human Resources Professional (PHR), she brings a wide range of knowledge and expertise to the agency, and is passionate about creating an exceptional employee experience through building a strong organizational culture. She is happy to be able to work for 4Cs, and notes that she is particularly inspired by the staff, whose dedication and commitment to supporting the early education of children in the community motivates her every day. Outside of work, Emily enjoys traveling, baking, running, and spending time with family and friends.
Her favorite childhood song was “Kookaburra,” which her parents say she sang constantly.

Lara Magnusdottir
Public Policy Director
Public Policy Director Lara Magnusdottir strongly believes in the mission of 4Cs and thinks access to affordable, quality early education is a social justice issue and essential infrastructure for a healthy, thriving community. She joined the organization in 2006. Lara has a B.A. in Spanish and an M.A. in International Public Administration. She has lived in six countries; most of her family lives in Iceland where she grew up. She is married with two sons and loves to travel.
Lara’s favorite children’s book is the Enid Blyton Famous Five series.

Tiffani Montgomery
Community Relations Director
Tiffani joined 4Cs in 2016. She has over 15 years of marketing and development experience in the non-profit and private sectors. She has an A.A. in Administration of Justice from SRJC and is a graduate of Leadership Santa Rosa Class 31. Tiffani is actively engaged in the community and serves on the board of Community Matters, is a member of the Active 20-30 Club #1029 and currently serves as National President Elect of Active 20-30 US & Canada. Tiffani is also on the Leadership Santa Rosa Steering Committee and is the President of Leadership Santa Rosa Alumni Association. In 2013, she received the Forty under 40 award and in 2015 and 2018 was the recipient of the Nonprofit Leadership award from the North Bay Business Journal. Tiffani enjoys spending time with her daughter, who is a college freshman, as well as relaxing with her dog and traveling.
Tiffani’s favorite childhood toy was Barbie, as she loved to dress her up in all different type of career clothes.

Suzette Beloberk
Child Health & Nutrition Director
For more than 30 years, Suzette Beloberk has been working to improve children’s lives across Sonoma County. She joined 4Cs in 1986 as a Program Assistant with the Child Care Food Program, and later became the program’s Fiscal Coordinator. She has been the Child Health & Nutrition Director since 2015. Suzette attended Santa Rosa Junior College and studied accounting. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and going to concerts.
Her favorite children’s book is Tales of the 4th Grade Nothing.

Julie Swanstrom
Client Services Director
Passionate about making an impact in her community, Julie Swanstrom joined 4Cs in 2001. As the Client Services Director, she works with families to connect them with the subsidized child care services that provide an opportunity for children to attend safe educational programs, while parents work toward self-sufficiency. Julie has a B.A. in Communication and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Davis. She loves learning, whether through travel, reading or exploring new places in Sonoma County.
One of Julie’s favorite children’s toys was a stuffed animal puppet dog named Max who would accompany her on many family trips.

Amy McIntyre
Director of Center Programs
In her more than 40 years working in early childhood education, Amy has been a preschool teacher, director, and owner; QIRS coach with CLASS and ECERS certifications; and Triple P parenting provider. Her rich experience brought her to 4Cs in 2015 as the Director of Center Programs. She has a B.A. in Human Development and Psychology from the University of the Pacific and a Master’s in Education with an Early Childhood emphasis and cognate in Counselling at Sonoma State University. She also holds an Infant/Child Mental Health Certificate. She is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is a former board member of the Sonoma County Association for the Education of Young Children (SCAEYC). Amy has two daughters, and is an avid walker and dog lover.
Her favorite children’s book was Thee Hannah by Marguerite de Angeli, about a young Quaker girl who rebels against the constraints of her family until she understands the values of love and service to others.

Lorie Siebler
Child Care Resource and Referral Director
Lorie’s connection to 4Cs runs deep. She joined the organization in 2005 as a case manager, and held a variety of positions in the Resource and Referral department before becoming Director in 2016. A former child care provider, after school teacher, substitute teacher and nanny, Lorie also has personal experience as a 4Cs client with a child who has special needs. She wanted to give back to a system that helped her family and gave her children new opportunities. She is currently the Co-Chair of the Child Care Planning Council of Sonoma County. Lorie has a B.S. in Physics, and loves audio books and hiking.
One of her favorite childhood books was Alexander’s Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day because it taught her that it was ok to have hard days and feel grouchy sometimes – they happen everywhere, even in Australia.
