Observing is obviously the act of looking and watching but in your profession you need to take that one step further. It also encompasses the skills of listening, questioning, reflecting and documenting what we actually see and then interpreting succinctly in order to identify and support a child’s strengths, needs, interests and development. Meaningful Observation training for DRDP supports these skills and more! It also will review and reflect on documentations related to DRDP Online and your DRDP ratings.
Previous attendance at a DRDP (2015) teacher training or a working knowledge of the DRDP is recommended.
Training is “FREE” to Sonoma County Quality Counts participants. When registering make sure you note that the name of your center or child care business so Quality Counts participation can be verified and your training fee waved. If you are not a Sonoma Quality Counts participant the $50.00 training fee is payable before the training, through the PayPal link you will receive with your training confirmation email.
REGISTER for this training at the Early Care & Education Workforce Registry at www.caregistry.org. If you have not applied for a workforce registry number this can also be done at the website.
