Strengthening Families
Strengthening Families is a research-informed approach developed by the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP) to increase family strengths, enhance child development and reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect. It is based on engaging families, programs and communities in building five key protective factors; that, when present, increase the overall well-being of children and families.

Parent Café
Parent Cafés are physically and emotionally safe spaces where parents and caregivers talk about the challenges and victories of raising a family. Through individual deep self-reflection and peer-to-peer learning, participants explore their strengths, learn about the Protective Factors, and create strategies from their own wisdom and experiences to help strengthen their families.

Parent Voices
Parent Voices Sonoma (PVS) is a group of parents focused on child care needs in Sonoma County. PVS advocates for affordable, accessible, quality child care in Sonoma County and throughout the State of California. We organizes parents and caretakers to build political power to increase child care subsidies, so that parents are able to work and provide for their families. Join us at our monthly chapter meetings starting in the Fall 2019.
Stand for Children Day
Our biggest day of advocacy which brings 500 parents, children, and child care supporters together for a march, rally, and legislative visits in the State Capitol. Save the Date: May 13, 2020!!
Leadership Academy
Parent Voices leadership development process begins with the conviction that every parent is the expert on their children’s needs and has leadership qualities. Our “learn-by-doing” approach provides opportunities for parents to express and develop those qualities while building a community organization. Reach out to your organizer to apply for the 2020 Leadership Academy.
