Making for Young Learners: Supporting Language and Literacy for All Students

In this hands-on workshop, preschool and TK teachers will learn about the ways in which maker education and Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) education can be utilized as a powerful tool to develop language and literacy in young learners. Teachers will engage in maker experiences designed to connect to the classroom and world, while fostering critical thinking skills, problem-solving, and language proficiency in young learners, particularly English Learners.
