Trauma-Informed Care – Overview PT 1
This training serves as an introduction to the Foster Care System. We will go over types of early childhood trauma from conception to age 5 (including being in the foster care system) and key trauma statistics and research (focus on children in foster care). Participants will obtain knowledge of how trauma impacts the brain and behaviors. Finally, we will introduce neuroplasticity and how it connects to resilience for children and persons who have experienced trauma.
